  Sixty-Second Philosopher!

When Philosophy Talk records in front of a live audience, the event is hosted by Merle Kessler (aka Ian Shoales, the Sixty Second Philosopher). The program is recorded in segments before a live audience. Between these segments, Kessler sings songs co-written with composer J. Raoul Brody and performed as The Plāto'nes. These intend both to have some connection to the topic of the program, and to amuse. They are edited to fit snugly within the final radio show, but they can be heard in full here.

On other occasions, Kessler reads stories of his own devising on the topic du jour that do not appear in the final radio program. They too can be heard here.
